Slant’d
Social, digital, marketing, strategy
Slant’d is an independent publishing house and creative community dedicated to Asian Americans. I was lucky to be able to join their team in 2018, as they were still finding their voice and audience. During my time there, we went through a lot of changes—building new launch campaigns, thinking up new and exciting events/partnerships/releases, and undergoing a comprehensive rebrand.
Social media, especially Instagram, was our main and most important channel of communication. I planned, wrote, and designed assets for posts. With our new brand identity, it was important to follow guidelines to establish a strong voice in some areas, while finding some breathing room and developing creativity in others. Working with our talented brand designers, I helped extend our new brand through social, as well as a few other digital projects.

For high-attention campaigns, partnerships, and special projects, I was able to play around with the brand and create designs that would keep up visual excitement while feeling true to Slant’d at their core.
